Morning are better from Embassy Suites

I�ve used this service several times parking at the Embassy Suites and found the morning are a better experience dealing with the front desk and waiting on their free shuttle to the airport. The hotel staff in the late afternoon and the free shuttle is very slow, so give yourself extra time if you plan on leaving in the afternoon or evening. From my experience the late afternoon and evening shuttle to the airport is not as reliable as the morning shuttle. The afternoon staff just kept repeating �they called the van�. It was frustrating to me.

I had to fly to Myrtle Beach unexpectedly this past Friday and placed a parking order with the Embassy Suites-Crystal City for overnight parking and a shuttle to Reagan National Airport. This was going to be my "last ditch effort" with Embassy Suites. The last two times I used them the shuttle was intermittent and/or slow. I had to wait over 45 minutes on one of the two trips for a shuttle to bring me back to the hotel. The weather was terrible and I was furious. This time was a completely different experience. The shuttle arrived at the hotel on time and we got to the airport very quickly. My ONLY complaint is that I was flying American Airlines - and the driver knew that. He dropped me off at the furthest location from American that you could possibly find. I have a bad knee, and I was running late for my flight due to an issue at the hotel earlier. Other than that, the shuttle was quick, the driver was friendly, and I was happy until I had to hike a few miles to the gate. On the way home the shuttle literally arrived within a few minutes of my arrival at the hotel shuttle stop. We got back to the hotel quickly. This is always a plus when you are exhausted from flying/traveling.

I have used Book2 Park in the past, and find this to be a very useful service. I generally park at the Embassy Suites when I fly out of Reagan, despite the fact that it has become more expensive to do so. It is most convenient, coming from MD, and I feel that my car is fairly safe there. It would be helpful to be informed ahead of time instructions to push button to call, in order to have the gate lifted when you go to park, as would also be helpful in order to leave the lot as well.

The Pros: Covered parking easy check-in good price close to airport The Cons: Hotel site says airport shuttle starts at 0600 (too late for our flight). But I called and it started at 0530 so that met our needs. General Comment: Hotels seldom list shuttle hours unless it's 24 hours. That can ruin your day if you have an early or late flight.
